THE COLIN COOPER MEMORIAL CONCERT

Climax Blues Band would like to thank all those who took part in The Colin Cooper Memorial Concert, held at The Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford on Thursday 16th April 2009.

The sell out concert conceived and promoted by Eric Furze of Guitar and Son, Stafford was a great success, raising funds and awareness for the fantastic work done by Macmillan nurses and also prostate cancer research.

Many thanks to the fans and friends who came from all over Europe to show their respect for the man and the music.

Special guests for the evening were:-
Roy Wood of ELO and Wizard, John “Rhino” Edwards and Jeff Rich of Status Quo, Steve Gibbons with John Caswell, John Cuffley (CBB), Steve Hayes of Nearly Dan, Dave McGarry, Chris Gumbley, Carl Hemmingsley and Ric Sandford,   Neil Pennington who opened the show with an acoustic set and compare Des Parton.
